What is the future of healthcare? After talking to various healthcare professionals through the various courses taken up this semester, what’s concluded is that future of healthcare looks small and digital. The application of this concept is being seen in the case of rising micro facilities in greater Las Vegas area as these facilities aim at providing low cost care for patients in comparison to the community hospitals.

This article also discusses the new group of health clinics by Apple which is called AC Wellness and it will serve employees with Apple in Santa Clara County, California. With the objective to revamp the health care process for their employees, they have been seen advertising for doctors, health coaches and designers to create a program to promote healthy behavior.
In relation to our current studio project, the need for creating more job opportunities in Lawndale neighborhood can be fulfilled by proposing such micro facilities. As seen through this research, by taking care of patients with gunshot wounds and high-risk pregnancies, such facilities can considerably reduce the average waiting time for patients. Additionally surgical care can also be taken care of. As mentioned in this research, these micro facilities that have already been proposed in stated like Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Kansas are the size of an average CVS Health store.
With technological advancements like virtual check ups that reduce the cost of care, having such an intervention in the suburban areas or fringe areas of cities can definitely promote an efficient healthcare environment.
